What a better sound wood acoustic guitar?

Rosewood sides and back and sides and mahogany back? Both have spruce tops. All solid wood. I can not compare the sound because they are mailorder.

Mahogany gives a tone brite light. Rosewood guitars are the strongest and Bassier. I prefer rosewood because of the beauty and durability. I never buy a guitar I have not played first. No two instruments have the same sounds. I have 2 Martin D-28 which have different sounds. Martins are expensive but there are guitars well under $ 300. Washburn makes some fine guitars will not kill your budget. If you can afford $ 600 + Blueridge guitars are excellent. Guild guitars made in fine the range of $ 500 – $ 800. Good luck.
