Morgan Monroe Guitars: Does anyone know about them?
I played one the other day, I think from the Creekside series, and it played very well, sounded decent, and looked good. I don’t know much about the company, and haven’t been able to locate much as far as their track record and quality is concerned. They seem to be fairly reasonable price-wise, but that’s all I can find. Any thoughts?
This is yet another Asian guitar and to the best of my knowledge it’s not as if each brand that shows up in America comes out of a different factory. In other words, whoever makes these guitars most likely makes guitars under other brands as well.
That said, they may very well be worth the money. Elderly carries them and they tend to carry quality instruments. They are not inexpensive and are about the most expensive Asian-made acoustics around. I would recommend you also look at low-end Taylor guitars like the 214, which is probably in the same price range but is much more likely to hold its value.
