Rock Guitar for Dummies?

Ok, so im looking to buy this book to help self teach myself guitar. I have had some guitar experiene before so i am not a beginner. But I am wondering will this book cover every thing about rock guitar, or just the basics of it, and if it does just cover the basics, what would i get that would teach me advanced rock techniques without haveing to go to a teacher. I dont have enough money for a teacher. I dont need music theory because i will be taking a class about it at school.
Please help me out wiht this.
(I prefer that youve actually used the book before telling me about it.

I have used that book, as well as blues harmonica for dummies. They are GREAT.
