What is the difference between a guitar and a big concert Dreadnought?

It is not. A concert of "Great" is a type of Dreadnought. Dreadnought body refers to the oversized nature to increase the volume of an acoustic guitar. This style was introduced by CF Martin. Initially conceived in 1916 as a collaboration between Martin and a leading retailer, the Oliver Ditson Co., the dreadnought body style was bigger and deeper than the Most guitars. In 1906, the Royal Navy had shocked the world by launching a battleship that was much larger than any in the service. Idea that a ship that would be great to fear nothing, it was named HMS Dreadnought. Martin recognized a perfect marketing tie-in when they saw, and borrowed the name for their new guitar great. The greater volume and louder bass produced by this expansion in size was intended to make the most useful guitar accompaniment instrument for singers. poorly received upon its introduction, when Martin reintroduced the style in 1931 it quickly became their best selling guitar. Again, the rest Industry followed, and today the "dreadnought" size and shape is considered a bit of "standard" forms of guitars acoustic. Cheers :-)
